A BIT ABOUT ME

I’m a self-taught 3D artist born and raised in British Columbia Canada. I first got into the CG world back in 2003 and have been doing it ever since. I specialize in mid-high poly, Hard Surface Modeling, UV Mapping and Texturing, and use 3D Studio Max as my main package of choice. I enjoy the challenge of building accurate models, whether it be from a piece of concept art or a real-world object. I like to model in as many details as I can while remaining true to the reference material.

 

I have an extensive background in training and have been doing tutorial content for almost as long as I’ve been doing CG work. To date, I’ve done close to a hundred hours of video training and numerous written tutorials. Aside from being an instructor, I was also the Co-Editor of Cgtuts+ and the Co-3D & Motion Graphics Editor for Tuts+ (Envato Pty Ltd.) from January 2011 to August 2014. Where I worked alongside my twin brother Chris managing an international team of 3D artists from all over the world.

 

I’m currently working on starting a new training company (again, with my brother Chris) and we have plans to start a small freelance studio at some point in the future. When I’m not going blind staring at my monitor, I like to chill out and play a game or watch a movie. I’m a huge movie buff and a big-time hockey fan. Before I was old, frail and out of shape, I spent most days either drawing, playing hockey or skateboarding, hence the banner above (and yes, that really is Hugh Jackman.)
